RUNNING AIN’T NO RODEO.
If you see a runner with their race number on their back you know it’s their first race. Welcome them to the greatest sport on the planet. Then use my line: RUNNING AIN’T NO RODEO. Put that bib number on your chest.
This picture is beyond precious!
At our church, children’s’ name tags are put on their backs so that caretakers can yell their names as they run away.
I believe some people put their bibs on their backs so that they will not be identifiable in the pictures snapped by course photographers. There is a fairly easy bib-picture-name linkage from the results page of most races. If you want to go stealth, wear your number on your back.
I actually saw a lady at Boston running with her bib on the back. Surely it wasn’t her first race!! yikes!
